Cedi Ali Rajah's Biography

Cedi Ali Rajah crafts stories to engage, entertain, and enthrall--be they for the stage, the screen, or the page. He is a writer, filmmaker, playwright, and photographer.

He majored in English & Linguistics at Morehouse College, then studied Directing for Theater, Video, and Cinema at California Institute of the Arts. He also holds a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.
His fiction has been featured in The Catalyst as well as in The Maroon Tiger. He is a Ronald E. McNair NASA scholar and recipient of the Barbara Boyle scholarship award for his participation in Film Independent's Project: Involve. He is a two-year member of Rideback's writing accelerator program the RISE Circle, and served as President of the RISE Council.
His award-winning short film “bLaCK mAn” premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was broadcast nationally on BET.​
He also wrote and directed the feature film "Vice & Virtue" for Kristanna Loken's Trio Entertainment. His work as a filmmaker can be found at nightfiremedia.com
